Michi-no-Eki Kitamaebune Matsumae 北前船 松前
Overlooking the Tsugaru Strait once plied by kitamaebune trading ships, this Matsumae station on Route 228 is a place to taste the sea: Matsumae hon-maguro tuna, abalone, Matsumae-zuke pickles and surume dried squid from noted local makers. It has a restaurant, shop and observation area, with parking for 97 cars and 3 large vehicles.
