Michi-no-Eki Biei Oka no Kura びえい「丘のくら」

A stone warehouse built from Biei soft stone in the early Taisho era has been converted into this small Biei station, warmed inside with local larch wood. It sells soft-serve ice cream, croquettes and other foods made with Biei produce, plus farm products and works by artists with ateliers in town. The upstairs event space hosts regular photo and solo exhibitions, and parking is limited to 21 cars, 2 large vehicles and 1 accessible space.
